LOVE WATTS PRESENTS KEO XMEN

Pioneering art and culture platform launches first ever UK project in collaboration with acclaimed graffiti artist.

London, 1 November 2023 . In an era where visionary curators and ground-breaking artists come together to rewrite the narrative of contemporary art and culture, Love Watts and artist KEO XMEN, an integral part of the 1980s graffiti street art movement, are delighted to unveil Love Watts Presents KEO XMEN, a revolutionary showcase that transcends geographical boundaries and elevates the art world to new heights. It was back in 2011 when creator, curator and collector Jordan Watson launched a digital platform that embedded contemporary art, culture and lifestyle. 12 years later, Love Watts stands as a formidable network, comprising nearly four million followers and counting luminaries like Rihanna, Gigi Hadid, Dua Lipa and Issey Miyake among its ardent enthusiasts. This global phenomenon has disrupted and democratised the art market, seamlessly fusing mass market appeal with niche experimentalism. The Love Watts platform is a testament to pushing the boundaries of creativity, unifying art enthusiasts, collectors and creators from all corners of the world. Through its carefully curated showcases and influential online presence, Love Watts has consistently moulded and reshaped the art landscape, propelling numerous artists to stardom, fostering fruitful collaborations with global brands and becoming a potent force for change. This month sees Love Watts take a monumental step towards solidifying its stature as a global authority on contemporary art with the inauguration of its first-ever UK project space, located on Sackville Street in the heart of London’s illustrious Mayfair.

And who could be a more fitting partner for this grand launch than the iconic KEO XMEN, who has played such a significant role in the history of graffiti and street art? KEO's artistic journey has unfolded over decades, a remarkable narrative of creativity, influence and an enduring legacy. It all began during the iconic New York City graffiti scene of the 1980s, with his first exhibition at The Fun Gallery in 1983, when he was just 16 years old. Alongside luminaries like Futura, Dondi, Rammellzee, Keith Haring, Jean Michel Basquiat and Richard Hambleton, KEO reshaped the urban canvas, and his influence continues to be respected by the likes of Todd James, Kaws and other notable artists. KEO's artistic merit has breathed life into logos and album covers for hip-hop legends like Kool Keith and members of the Wu-Tang Clan, while his designs have adorned products and installations for global titans such as Nike, Adidas, Harley Davidson and Warner Brothers. His art is a vivid chronicle of vibrant hip-hop and street art movements. Love Watts Presents KEO XMEN is a curated selection of the artist's new works, one that offers a tantalising glimpse into KEO's multifaceted world, showcasing his ability to transcend traditional boundaries and create art that resonates with a wide audience. It's a portal to an artistry that marries the past and the present, taking us on a journey through the urban pulse that beats in the heart of KEO's creations. This is not merely an exhibition; it is a pivotal moment in art history, a testament to the power of innovation, collaboration and creative genius. Love Watts Presents KEO XMEN will launch with a VIP event on 29th November. Thereafter it will be available to view for an initial period of three weeks, by invitation and appointment only. Woodbury House, the street art specialist gallery located in Mayfair, will be the exclusive partner for the global distribution of works from the collaboration. The Future of Art is Here Love Watts is poised for significant expansion beyond its current digital media platforms and its upcoming London project by setting its sights on establishing international presences while pioneering immersive digital experiences and art projects. These endeavours aim to reevaluate and modernise the traditional gallery approach. This transformative movement is underway. It invites you to be a part of this pivotal shift, as it challenges prevailing norms and ushers in a new dawn in the world of art.
