DJ CUTMASTER COOL V LIVE AT THE APOLLO THEATER, 1988 BY GEORGE DUBOSE

The debut performance of the "Juice Crew All-Stars: World Tour 1988" at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York. Backed by five DJ’s – DJ Chilly Q, DJ Polo, Mr. Cee, Cool V and Marley Marl – and featuring members of the Juice Crew headlined by Big Daddy Kane and Biz Markie.

George DuBose has been called “The Godfather of Hip-Hop Photography.” He was there when rap broke. Before it was called hip-hop. He was behind the camera for Biggie’s first professional photo shoot. While working with Cold Chillin’ Records, he immortalized Biz Markie, Big Daddy Kane, Masta Ace, Kool G Rap and Roxanne Shante. And the list just grew, including the likes of Run-DMC and Mobb Deep.

Now, House of Roulx is contributing in our own way by sharing DuBose’s works with both existing fans and an entirely new generation, so that they will also come to know the man who captured and help break the people who made music what it is today.
