ERIC JOYNER enjoyed a rather uneventful childhood in the town of San Mateo, CA, in the 1970s. Like many kids, he enjoyed reading comics, watching TV, and making gunpowder. After high school, Eric attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco. His influences include Francis Livingston, Kazuhiko Sano, Bill Sanchez and Robert Hunt. Years later, he began submitting his paintings into various juried shows in the Bay Area and his efforts were well received. After several detours and dead ends, his focus shifted to tin toy robots.
