YOUR CINEMA is the moniker of illustrator and designer Ryan Besch. Growing up outside of Buffalo, he was introduced to art through weekend trips to the flea market with his grandfather. There he would dig through stacks of records, old comics and magazines, as well as study the packaging of vintage toys and other kitsch ephemera. The 90’s introduced him to the world of alternative comics, punk, skateboard art and independent publishers like Fantagraphics, Kitchen Sink Press and indie films released by studios like Miramax. The DIY ethics of these small companies and self publishers are still some of his biggest inspirations.
