"'Wire Birds' was almost titled 'BIRDS AREN’T REAL...' it was this ridiculous conspiracy theory that inspired the painting. I had already been painting stars on strings (spy satellites, ya know) but this was the first time I wired up birds.

MVEMJSUNP are the initials to the planets, in order, in our solar system. Perhaps the arrow and 'you are here' pointing at the E makes a bit more sense now. Everything else you just have to figure out for yourself."
