Bud Blake (1918-2005) was an American cartoonist best known for creating the newspaper comic strip "Tiger," which ran from 1965 to 2003. The strip featured a group of neighborhood children led by the title character Tiger, known for its gentle humor and observant portrayal of childhood. His artistic style was characterized by clean, expressive linework and an ability to capture the essence of everyday situations. Blake's work garnered him the National Cartoonists Society's Newspaper Panel Cartoon Award in 1976.
