Michael Cain aka Gnashing Teeth is an artist and illustrator currently working in Melbourne, Australia. Influenced by a love of nature and how nature interacts with human kind, his paintings depict birds, animals and plants juxtaposed with human elements and pop culture references. Michael’s unique, self taught aesthetic has evolved from his career as a graphic designer, creating a balance between loose strokes, detailed textures and engaging colour palettes. Michael has exhibited extensively throughout Australia and has private commissions residing in collections around the world.
