"My latest project, Torn, is a series of collages that brings together two contrasting but long-standing aspects of my photography: fashion and streetart, the defaced and recycled advertising posters plastered around the city on walls and construction sites. The collages reimagine my portraits of friends, models, musicians and actors as sort of post-apocalyptic recollections, faces and figures obscured, decayed and reshaped by the forces of nature and the hands of time." - Barry Sutton
In addition to his photography, design and art projects, Sutton is the Director of Operations for the MPS Graduate Fashion Photography program at School of Visual Arts, and produces the New York Fashion Film Festival, a celebration of the best fashion films of the year. He has photographed Calvin Klein, Elizabeth Gilbert, Barry White, Dr Dre, Taylor Swift and is work has been published in French Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, T-Magazine, Newsweek, US Weekly and People.
